One of the best udon I had on my trip ! You have a large choice of udon and even other rice based dishes. The prices are good and the food is delicious. I had the Osanso Tanpin seasonal udon and it was perfect (watch out his contains meat). Thank you for the meal !
Delicious udon and a warm welcome! We stopped by this cozy little udon spot and were greeted by an older gentleman who spoke a few words of English, luckily we knew a tiny bit of Japanese too, and ordering went surprisingly smooth. The atmosphere was quiet and traditional, and the udon was excellent! Simple, comforting, and full of flavor. A lovely, authentic experience that made us feel right at home. Good prices for large portions.
We stayed in Kanazawa for the week long. And so far for the whole trip to Japan this place was a place where this old couple made the Best Udon we ever tried in Japan. Arigato Gozaimashita! Will visit this place again if we ever have a chance to return to Kanazawa! Best Udon ever!
One of the best lunches I had in Japan! Cosy restaurant, delicious food. I paid less than 1000 yen for a lot of food. Wish I could have stayed longer in Kanazawa to try more dishes here.
A local and very affordable place. Udon is pretty good although the broth is on the salty side. Not sure why but the English menu only has 3 items - there’s a lot more options on the Japanese menu.
We enjoyed an excellent, tasty fried fish udon set looking out over the beautiful garden. The gentleman who owns and cooks is very friendly and welcoming!
Food is amazing and for low price. I took a deep-fried pork cutlet rice bowl and it was super tasty. You will wait a bit longer for the food since only one older gentleman is doing everything. I really like the place, I plan to come again tomorrow.
The food is amazing. The owner is a nice old man who makes amazing food. He is so kind and lovely. The food was flavourful and yummy. Definitely worth a visit! He was accommodating to dietary request as I don’t eat beef so he made an alternative!!
